00:08 < mnemoc> i don't care which

00:17 < jeru> sepp: I'll place it there temporary ... to see ... and mnemoc doesn't care anyways :p
00:17 < mnemoc> sepp: do you think it may be usefull for you?
00:17 < mnemoc> i don't see luis.png :(
00:18 < mnemoc> what luis.png means?
00:18 < sepp> mnemoc: it is his name
00:18 < sepp> you see the png?
00:18 < mnemoc> now i do
00:19 < mnemoc> does the circules mean something to you?
00:19 < jeru> I've to resize it a bit, that it will fit
00:19 < sepp> no
00:19 < jeru> mnemoc: that's the scheme of a complex virus ;)
00:19 < sepp> it is only a game with t2
00:20 < mnemoc> :)
00:20 < sepp> i think it is a good idea
00:21 < sepp> if we do not agree - it is much a better logo
00:21 < mnemoc> luis.png?
00:21 < sepp> at least
00:21 < sepp> yes
00:22 < sepp> mnemoc: you dont like it?
00:22 < mnemoc> can you resize it?
00:22 < sepp> the orig is a svg
00:22 < mnemoc> firefox is not good scaling
00:23 < sepp> but firefox likes no svg's ...
00:23 < mnemoc> png :)
00:23 < mnemoc> export it with the size you think it should go on plone
00:24 < mnemoc> just to see defitions
00:24 -!- ojh [~omer@71-34-249-243.eugn.qwest.net] has left #t2 []
00:25 < sepp> moment
00:26 < jeru> reload
00:27 < jeru> hmmmm ... we'll need a dark blue header ... I guess
00:27 < mnemoc> track21' schema adapted :)
00:27 < jeru> :D
00:27 < jeru> PlonePopoll enabled
00:27 < sepp> jeru: this is no problem it is a svg - no problem to replace colours
00:28 < mnemoc> i don't see the logo
00:28 < sepp> mee too
00:28 < jeru> ???
00:28 < mnemoc> sepp: inkscape?
00:28 < sepp> ??? what ?
00:29 < mnemoc> what do you use for svg?
00:29 < jeru> but you should see it
00:29 < sepp> no nothing
00:29 < mnemoc> jeru: but i don't...
00:29 < mnemoc> i even logout, but nothing

00:30 < mnemoc> when will you open registration?
00:30 < sepp> what i really want to have is a 23h sleep :(
00:31 < jeru> I can now if you want
00:31 < mnemoc> just 23hrs?
00:31 < sepp> jeru: access to what ?
00:31 < mnemoc> no logo :(
00:31 < sepp> i see it
00:31 < jeru> to the new site
00:32 < mnemoc> i don't see it :(
00:32 < jeru> mnemoc: I see it with konq + firefox
00:32 < sepp> jeru: can we manage this tomorrow ?
00:32 < jeru> sepp: of course
00:33 * mnemoc flushing cache
00:33 < sepp> i already swallowed up my 19" crt
00:33 < jeru> ohhh!
00:34 < mnemoc> now i see it
00:34 < jeru> damn mnemoc is penetrating the server .... :D
00:34 < mnemoc> background is not the same white than the background of the logo
00:34 < sepp> to replace the blue bg is no problem !
00:35 < sepp> only tell me if you like the general logo idea
00:36 < mnemoc> not sure
00:36 < mnemoc> it's nice
00:36 < jeru> sepp: can we have a version with white bg + logo color changed to the dark blue color ?
00:36 < mnemoc> but.... i don't know
00:36 < jeru> mnemoc: we'll see ... ;)
00:36 < sepp> jeru: you want to have the svg, right?

00:37 < jeru> :)
00:37 < sepp> ok
00:39 < jeru> I need some food .... errrr
00:40 < sepp> http://home.arcor.de/sebastian.czech/t2/luis.svg
00:43 < jeru> thx :)
00:44 < sepp> if you like the logo you can get a 3d version later
00:44 < sepp> but i would like to know if you like the logo idea
00:44 < jeru> sepp: we've to invent a nice story for it ... to explain it ;=)
00:45 < sepp> why there is a very obvious 2 game
00:45 < sepp> 2 arms 2 holes one big T
00:46 < sepp> or can you tell me a obvious idea behind the really nice debian logo ,)
00:48 < mnemoc> :)
00:50 < sepp> it is a logo
00:50 < sepp> if you dont like it - np tell me ...
00:51 < jeru> reload please :)
00:51 < jeru> looks quite nice :)
00:52 < mnemoc> it's nice
00:52 < mnemoc> but i have to get used to iy
00:52 < mnemoc> it
00:52 < sepp> hehe if you can scale it :)
00:52 < jeru> we've to shift a bit left
00:53 < jeru> sepp: ack ....I'll make it bit smaller
00:55 < mnemoc> jeru: are you with firefox 1.03?
00:55 < sepp> aspect ratio was a bit wrong in the svg
00:57 < jeru> mnemoc: nope
00:57 < jeru> have to rebuild a new one
00:59 < sepp> i have 1.0.3
01:00 < jeru> now it's smaller ...
01:00 < mnemoc> i have troubles with the cache and your png
01:01 < mnemoc> it looks better without the box
01:01 < jeru> mnemoc: ack
01:02 < mnemoc> now i like it :)
01:03 < jeru> hehe :D
01:04 < sepp> maybe a "t2 project" right of the head would be nice
01:09 < mnemoc> SDE?
01:11 < sepp> SDE could be incorporated into the "mouth"
01:11 < sepp> like the 2
01:13 < sepp> i really need to sleep - good night all

05:47 < keinek> yes
05:47 < keinek> and so?
05:47 < mnemoc> it's a bug
05:47 < keinek> change the scripts? or... change the file?

05:48 < mnemoc> yep
05:48 < keinek> this is a bug?
05:48 < mnemoc> yep
05:48 < mnemoc> and if www2.t2-project.org revives i add it to our bugtracker
05:51 < keinek> so the error is in /t2-stable/target/bootdisk/x86/build.sh
05:51 < keinek> but the line said

18:21 < rxr> gcc 4.0 indeed implements half of those or so in a std::tr1 namespace ..

18:29 < rxr> yes on my most "powerfull" PPC box ...

18:42 < valentin> we do not even have 2.1 and mnemoc moans about 2.2 ...
18:43 < mnemoc> :)
18:44 < mnemoc> can we write a wishlist/roadmap just share clear directions?
18:45 < rxr> sure
18:46 < mnemoc> jeru: your server died about 30 minutes yesterday
18:46 < rxr> mnemoc: but you do not have to fear - I'd like to have quick "major" releases ...
18:46 < rxr> e.g. 2.2. mostly modular kernel and udev and the updates on the way plus cleanups and thats it ...
18:46 < mnemoc> sepp, jeru: new bullets/icons of www2 rules :)
18:46 < mnemoc> rxr: great
18:49 < rxr> you should know I favour release early release often ...
18:50 < jeru> mnemoc: server died ... when ?
18:51 < jeru> mnemoc: yeah ... I made some simple icons :)
18:51 < mnemoc> jeru: half hour before issue #4
18:52 < mnemoc> T^2 bullet needs some pixel work to get definition
18:55 < mnemoc> jeru: my desire is to keep 2.1 'checkout friendly', i mean every instant on the branch shall be stable
18:56 < mnemoc> jeru: so realeasing snapshots is ok, but i would prefer people keeping updated working copies
18:58 < jeru> mnemoc: ack
19:05 < mnemoc> jeru: i guess Document over I18NFolder is not compatible with I18NLayer, i think a hook added by that product is breaking natural i18n support
19:06 < jeru> mnemoc: ack!
19:07 < jeru> mnemoc: please don't add a i18nlayer in i18nfolder
19:08 < mnemoc> jeru: can you disable i18nlayer product to test?
19:08 < jeru> mnemoc: yesterday I tried some hacksto get i18n support for the whole site ... but unfortunately it wasn't working
19:08 < jeru> mnemoc: I think we'll need i18nlayer
19:08 < jeru> but I can try anyways
19:10 < jeru> i18nlayer uninstalled
19:10 < jeru> the language selector is away now in i18nfolder
19:11 < jeru> at least partialy
19:13 < mnemoc> i can select languages naturaly, but i don't see how to edit other languages :\
19:13 < jeru> mnemoc: it works

19:15 < jeru> yippi :D
19:15 < valentin> how many languages do we want to maintain ?
19:15 < jeru> I just added the ones which are currently present in human form
19:16 < mnemoc> ack
19:16 < mnemoc> en,de,nl,sp
19:16 < jeru> mnemoc: but we can add new languages easy
19:16 < jeru> ack
19:17 < mnemoc> when we get a voluntier for another language we can add it
19:17 < jeru> hehe :)
19:17 < valentin> plone keeps translations in a sane state ? i.e same links on each page ?
19:17 < mnemoc> did you see the redirects i added on tree/2.1 ?
19:17 < valentin> or will there be different content for different languages ?
19:18 < mnemoc> valentin: that's why i voted for plone :D
19:18 < mnemoc> valentin: and if there is no translation, english is shown
19:18 < jeru> :D

19:20 < jeru> hi jsaw_
19:20 < jeru> mutant text ?
19:20 < valentin> mnemoc: so if a alter an existing piece of content in english, will the corresponding parts in the other languages be invalidated ?
19:20 < mnemoc> the tipical image with a text only a person can read
19:20 < valentin> hi jsaw_
19:20 < jsaw_> hi mnemoc , jeru , valentin
19:20 < mnemoc> valentin: i hope not
19:21 < jsaw_> mnemoc: have you seen the libstdc++-v3 addition?
19:21 < mnemoc> jsaw_: yes, is it tested? doesn't it share with gcc?
19:21 < jsaw_> mnemoc: no shares, only the libstdc++ lib is copied, everything else is left in place.
19:22 < jsaw_> mnemoc: I verified it with acrobat...
19:22 < jsaw_> acroread won't run with libstdc++.so.5
19:22 < jsaw_> without ...
19:22 < mnemoc> jsaw_: if you copy it, why doesn't it share?
19:22 < jsaw_> probably I got you wrong, what do you mean with share?
19:23 < mnemoc> two packages writing the same file
19:23 < jsaw_> oh, libstdc++.so.6 is gcc3.4
19:23 < jsaw_> libstdc++.so.5 is from gcc 3.3.5
19:23 < jsaw_> so, no shares
19:23 < mnemoc> :)
19:24 < jsaw_> and whoever has time can basically just copy and make a libstdc++-v2 package (the one with libstdc++-libc6...etc
19:24 < jsaw_> )
19:25 < valentin> mnemoc: but will the spanish translators be notified, if the english content changed ?
19:25 < jsaw_> btw, I temporarily made package/compat directory for this, maybe there's a better place for it..
19:26 < jeru> mnemoc: bad news i18n is just functioning on i18nfolder ... no docs ...
19:26 < mnemoc> valentin: ask webmaster^jeru
19:27 < mnemoc> jeru: ?
19:27 < jeru> mnemoc: as I said ... switching the lang is just functioning on i18nfolder :|
19:28 < mnemoc> jeru: but that's what we want isn't it?
19:29 < jeru> mnemoc: but I can't add i18n contents in the folders ... I guess
19:30 < jeru> mnemoc: just translating the folders makes no sense, or isn't it ?
19:30 < mnemoc> jeru: i understood i18nfolder as a folder that house i18n content
19:31 < jeru> mom ... will test it
19:31 < jsaw_> oh damn, acrobat tries to load ldap libraries from /lib or /usr/lib only....
19:32 < mnemoc> hardcoded paths?
19:32 < valentin> rxr: i habe a question 'bout the rocknet syntax
19:32 < jsaw_> mnemoc: seems like
19:33 < valentin> one option must be a line, so for example "ip \n 123.456.789.012" is not allowed ?
19:33 < valentin> that would be good..
19:33 < jsaw_> mnemoc: okay, after creating the links, the last module works also (PPKLite)
19:34 < mnemoc> valentin: one option one line
19:37 < mnemoc> valentin: rocknet is handled as bash function calls
19:39 < valentin> mnemoc: yep - i read some code
19:39 < rxr> re
19:39 < rxr> valentin: yes ?
19:40 < jsaw_> hi rxr
19:40 < rxr> valentin: yes the \n in a line is not allowed
19:40 < rxr> key value\n
19:40 < valentin> that is good
19:41 < rxr> mnemoc: valentin is writing a true GUI frontend right now ...
19:41 < jsaw_> oh
19:42 < valentin> my parser will read files line per line and the file is saved in the way it was read - including comments - only with profile modifications
19:42 < jsaw_> will there be a simple interface for generl config purposes also?
19:43 < valentin> jsaw_: basicaly i write a stupid joe user interface for internet only configuration
19:43 < jsaw_> ic
19:43 < valentin> but the parser can be re-used for more complex setups
19:43 < mnemoc> valentin: please don't change the file format so i can merge your UI someday into 2.1
19:44 < valentin> mnemoc: i do not change any format
19:44 < valentin> 19:43 < valentin> my parser will read files line per line and the file is saved in the way it was read - including
19:44 < mnemoc> :D
19:44 < valentin> this is quite easy, because the file is saved line-per line
19:46 < valentin> what would you expect, editing all interfaces under one profile or vice-versa ?
19:47 < mnemoc> interfaces per profile i guess
19:47 < valentin> and activating a profile will ifup all interfaces for that one ?
19:47 < rxr> mnemoc: I think we should not add such stuff to 2.1 ...
19:47 < rxr> it should live in 2.2 and or up ...
19:48 < mnemoc> rxr: if it gets stables and there is no incompatibility, why not port it in future?
19:48 < rxr> mnemoc: when you tested the ccache cache shrinking I committed some hours ago, it should go into 2.1 ...
19:48 < rxr> mnemoc: wasn't it you who wanted a not too much chaning trees and quick releases ...
19:48 < rxr> 2.2: udev, modular, live-cd partial gui frontend -> and release, no ?
19:49 < jsaw_> the gui would be a simple addition, wouldn't it?

19:49 < mnemoc> jsaw_: i think it this way also
19:50 < jsaw_> what is ccache shrinkage, btw?
19:54 < rxr> jsaw_: we have per package cache now
19:54 < rxr> since the caches grow exorbitantly, I added removing files that are not from the current build or this
19:54 < rxr> find -anewer .timestamp ...
19:54 < jsaw_> oh, nice
19:55 < rxr> /this/hits/
19:55 < rxr> the good think is, this per-package and per arch caches scale way better than the previous implementation - and overlive target builds ...
19:56 < rxr> jsaw_: I'll soon have enough embeddedSTL to rewrite hotplug++ in modern C++ ,-)
20:00 < mnemoc> jsaw_: and www2.t2-project.org :D

21:31 < mnemoc> i choosed to have a different tracker becasue the things done on trunk are different that the things done on 2.1 bracnh
21:31 < mnemoc> fixes are done on trunk and merged to 2.1

22:20 < mnemoc> as usual
22:20 < ojh> Just asking. A friend of mine is selling one and my preliminary research indicated that its reasonably compatible with Linux. The only sticking point is that the PCMCIA chip set is known to be buggy in Linux. Even the Radaon graphics should do full 3D with out any binary drivers.
22:20 < mnemoc> i haven't added translations yet

23:10 < rxr> on idea ...
23:10 < rxr> no even
23:11 < rxr> http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=10397
23:11 < mnemoc> i read the news, not i :)
23:11 < rxr> == 04/24/05 23:12:56 =[1]=> Finished building package linux26.
23:13 < rxr> mnemoc: I do not need to test the zeroinstall package?
23:13 < rxr> I should just apply it ?
23:14 < ojh> rxr: Once its installed make sure the daemon is running and then open up a URI in the Terminal, try /uri/0install/rox.sourceforge.net/apps/ROX-Filer/AppRun for starters.
23:15 < mnemoc> rxr: on trunk or 2.1?
23:15 < rxr> ojh: sorry I really have no time for that kind of testing ...
23:15 < rxr> (and do not want to oops my build athlon ...)
23:15 < mnemoc> rxr: commit it first on trunk, i only do merges :)
23:15 < rxr> mnemoc: I think it should not go into 2.1 ...
23:15 < mnemoc> i'll not be ahead of trunk
23:15 < ojh> OK.
23:17 < ojh> rxr: Point. Don't crash the main build server. :)
23:17 < mnemoc> rxr: do what ever you want on trunk ;)
23:18 < mnemoc> rxr: if ojh needs some package from trunk on 2.1 to do his project he can file a "Package request"
23:18 < rxr> ojh: and I can also not tets on the iBook, it is still building ooo and will be for most parts of tomorrow ...
23:19 < ojh> rxr: I'll (obviously) be doing extensive testing of the Zero Install package once I have my build done. :)
23:19 < rxr> CIA-9 is absent ...
23:20 < mnemoc> rxr: CIA-* are silent, people on #cia already knows but cia-master is away :\
23:21 < rxr> mnemoc: KGB soon ... ?
23:21 < sepp_> MFS
23:21 < mnemoc> rxr: i need to many more hours per day :\
23:23 < ojh> rxr: Building Zero Install on a non x86 build is a bit pointless at this point as everything in ZI servers is x86 at this point. (but support exists in ZI for automagicly fetching the correct files for your CPU architecture if they exist)
23:23 < rxr> maybe zeroinstall should be been designed on a bytecode meta format ?
23:24 < ojh> rxr: No reason why not. Many Java and Python programs are on ZI servers too.
23:25 < ojh> rxr: All ZI is is an incremental file system sync with the remote server.
23:27 < ojh> rxr: At some point this would be perfect for application distribution across all hardware types: http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/
23:29 < valentin> jeru: how did you get the code blocks here: https://www2.t2-project.org/download/2.1/
23:30 < jeru> mnemoc: btw, if you move a tracker you have to run a reindex for it
23:30 < jeru> valentin: mom
23:30 < mnemoc> valentin: click on edit tab
23:31 < valentin> mnemoc: i did
23:31 < valentin> but if i do text\ntext\n\ntext i get another result
23:32 < mnemoc> valentin: what 'text format' are you using?
23:32 < valentin> reStructured
23:32 < jeru> valentin: code blocks e.g. HTTP:: svn co ....
23:33 < mnemoc> jeru: can i have a box without the label?
23:33 < valentin> is the '::' mandatory ?
23:33 < jeru> valentin: yep
23:33 < mnemoc> reStructured sucks :(
23:34 < jeru> mnemoc: other proposals ? :(
23:34 < mnemoc> tikisyntax has the same power but it is far simpler
23:34 < mnemoc> there is no tikisyntax for plone afaik
23:34 < valentin> ah
23:34 < jeru> mnemoc: you can build you own content type with atcontenttypes
23:35 < rxr> 2linux-fusion/__________PLEASE_NOTE__THE_MAJOR_ID_CHANGED_TO_252__SEE_README_________
23:35 < jeru> what do we wanna use for Documentation anyway?
23:36 < mnemoc> rxr: sure, but that is not new
23:36 < rxr> this can not work out:
23:36 < rxr> dfb_fusion_main()
23:36 < rxr> { cp -v linux/include/linux/fusion.h $root/usr/include/linux
23:36 < rxr> ?!?!?
23:36 < rxr> who added this ..
23:36 < rxr> shared files welcome ..
23:36 * rxr fixing ...
23:37 < rxr> and why ...
23:37 < rxr> well - I do not ask ..
23:37 < rxr> rm -rf postlinux.conf ..
23:37 < jeru> valentin: are you working in /documentation already ?
23:37 < mnemoc> jeru: mnemoc: get kupu :)
23:38 < mnemoc> jeru: 2.1 is shipping with kupu as deafult
23:38 < jeru> valentin: please copy your docu in your home please ... have to migrate the folder
23:39 < rxr> OOO@iBook already 2GB in size
23:39 < valentin> jeru: moment
23:40 < rxr> only 945 MB free disk space reamining
23:40 < rxr> and I think I already rm -rf'ed all I can spare ...
23:40 < rxr> except rm -rf /opt ...
23:40 < valentin> jeru: ok - go
23:40 < mnemoc> rxr: did you merge 8495 to trunk?
23:41 < jeru> valentin: thx
23:41 < valentin> the '::' works sometimes and sometimes it does not.
23:42 < valentin> and plone gets confused with my enumeration
23:43 < mnemoc> valentin: is embedded target ok for 2.1?
23:43 < valentin> rxr did that target
23:44 < mnemoc> rxr: is embedded target ok for 2.1?
23:44 < valentin> i think it works
23:44 < mnemoc> and dreamcast?
23:46 < rxr> embedded and psion are fine
23:47 < rxr> what do you consider rm'ing ?
23:47 < valentin> mnemoc: dreamcast crossbuilds, but there is no image created yet
23:47 < mnemoc> uboot
23:48 < valentin> it has to be ported to rxr's generic embedded thing
23:49 < mnemoc> if you port it, try to do it compatible, so i can merge it
23:49 < jeru> mnemoc: there is no index_html in your /tree stuff
23:50 < mnemoc> jeru: you can only see them on ZMI
23:50 < valentin> jeru: finished the copying ?
23:50 < mnemoc> jeru: they are scripts
23:51 < jeru> mnemoc: thx
23:51 < jeru> valentin: mom
23:53 < rxr> ok - final test biuld
23:53 < rxr> build
23:53 < rxr> dfb-linux-fusion and rivatv should be fixed then
23:53 < rxr> bg
23:54 < mnemoc> jeru: do we need Groups folder?
23:54 < mnemoc> rxr: what commit?
23:54 < jeru> I think you can remove it
23:55 < mnemoc> jeru: are you migrating by hand??
23:56 < sepp_> good night all
23:56 < mnemoc> gn8 sepp_
